Haiti Evenings.

One of the unexpected blessings of staying in Les Cayes, and the extra blessing of sleeping in Leonie's bedroom is the sounds that we get to hear in the evenings. Leonie's room is right next to the church. I've been hearing these lovely sounds all week as I went into our room in the evening and decided that I had to find a way to share some of this with you.

I think that this will work, but you have to promise me that you will wait until this evening (or again this evening if you listen now) and properly set your stage.  (I tried to post it last night, right after I recorded it so you could be here with me, but there wasn't enough bandwith to upload the file...)

Picture yourself in your bedroom, it's completely dark, hot and humid. It's not time for sleep yet, but you lay down just to rest and cool off for a few minutes and this is what you hear...click the video to hear it (there is no video, silly, you're in a dark room, remember?):

Some evenings it's the women, and some evenings it's men. All different and just so beautiful in the dark. I hope you enjoyed it!
